No idea, I googled it and Sun, moon, rising came up for Capricorn
Where did you grow up?
What were you like as a child?
What did you do before starting Modest Maverick?
For nearly two decades I worked as an educator and nanny. My life and career was always revolving around children.
When you aren’t creating beautiful west coast inspired goods where can we find you?

New connections and a new community always excite me!

What were you like as a child?
A smaller version of the woman I am today - loud, funny, brave and kind
What did you do before starting Modest Maverick?
What was the catalyst for launching your own biz?
I didn’t plan on having a business and I think that’s the beauty of how it all began.
I had a friend who couldn’t commit to her booth at the Tofino Market and offered for me to go and sell a few things here and there and I gladly accepted.
I was going to just sell flowers, some jewellery that I had made and a few other odds and ends.
A week before the market started I found some delicious fabric that I knew would make beautiful beach blankets and the rest is history. Sometimes the most beautiful things in life come to us rather than us searching for them.
What is your favourite Modest Maverick item?
That’s a tough one, but I would have to say that I use my Travellin’ Tote almost daily!
