CREAM Suncatchers

Join me and create a custom Suncatcher!  These solid crystal suncatchers exude the groovy spirit of the 70's era.  Using a mix of up-cycled, handmade & thoughtfully curated beads the colour combinations are endless!  When you take your creation home hang it in a sunlit window and let the magic unfold as they fill your space with vibrant rainbows, evoking the free-spirited vibes of the 70's.

Forest Etiquette

Food is Medicine!  Get your hands in the dirt and enjoy building a customized edible planter with a variety of locally grown culinary and medicinal herbs.  Choose from an assortment of herbs including basil, oregano, chives, cilantro and mint and edible flowers like marigold, lavender, and pansies.  There will also be tomatoes, and other delicious, approachable, accessible herbal options. 

This workshop includes a planter pot and all the soil you will need as well as 8-10 individual plants for each participant.  You are also welcome to bring your own planter if you prefer!

Lorelei Textile Design

Carly of Lorelei Textile Design breathes new life into old threads using low impact natural dye techniques. Her work is greatly influenced by the ever changing availability of local dye plants. Soft, ethereal, earthly hues imbued into cloth for you to cherish through every season.

 In this one hour workshop we will dive into the magic of plant based colour. You will be provided with a cotton bandana and an assortment of seasonal flowers and leaves to create your own wearable botanical masterpiece. All materials and instruction are provided, just bring yourself and your curiosity!

Understory Supply Co.

Sierra is a local pigment artist creating all natural watercolour paints and art supplies.  At their table you’ll explore the simple process of paint making and the beauty of natural soil based pigments. They’ll take you through the steps of mixing, mulling and curing paints, and share tips for harvesting and working with natural pigments.

In the end, everyone will take home a set of handcrafted watercolour paints made by the group. All supplies and pigments will be provided, but bring your favourite sketchbook if you’d like to test your paints out as we go!

Knots & Potts

Alisha Potter of Knots & Potts, is a self-taught fiber artist specializing in macramé and weaving techniques. With a passion for sustainability, she transforms recycled cotton cord and upcycled fabrics into boho styled home décor and accessories. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, knot by knot, in her small home studio.

In this one-hour workshop, you will learn how to macrame a beginner-style wall hanging. Discover the start-to-finish process, from cutting rope lengths to mastering the three most commonly used macrame knots. Attendees will receive all necessary materials, including recycled cord, driftwood, and crafting tools. By the end of the class, you'll have crafted a beautiful new wall hanging and gained the basics of macrame to continue creating!
